“Figure out the rhythm of life and live in harmony with it.”

- Lao Tzu

Lucie is incredible. I sought acupuncture after a very long and difficult journey to conceive. Lucie is so knowledgeable about fertility, hormones, supplements and nutrition and would always adapt sessions to my needs. She was a brilliant sounding board when I’d had bad doctors appointments and hugely helped with my anxiety throughout. After a very long journey I am now 37 weeks pregnant and I do not doubt this is hugely thanks to Lucie. I was definitely sceptical before starting acupuncture but I know I wouldn’t be where I am now without Lucie. I’d recommend to anyone.”

Supporting fertility through acupuncture is a true passion of mine. With over eight years of clinical experience in this field, I have also completed a postgraduate diploma in Gynecology, Fertility & Obstetrics, covering both women’s and men’s health. This in-depth training, along with ongoing degree-level studies in Nutritional Therapy, allows me to offer a holistic, well-rounded approach to diagnosis and treatment (see packages for details)

There can be obstacles to conceiving such as ovulation and menstrual cycle irregularities or low sperm parameters. Some couples are aware of an underlying issue which will mean that assisted conception is the only avenue to having a child. According to a 2023 World Health Organization (WHO) report, 17.5% of adults worldwide, or roughly 1 in 6 people, experience infertility at some point in their lives. In the UK, unexplained infertility accounts for around 25% of cases of infertility [i]. This is where no cause can be identified in either the woman or man. This can be a frustrating diagnosis, but an area where acupuncture may be able to help support you through adding the wisdom of the Chinese diagnosis, and enhancing your health through improved diet and lifestyle.

Acupuncture has shown promising benefits for those undergoing assisted reproduction. A comprehensive 2018 review and meta-analysis found that acupuncture significantly improved birth rates among sub-fertile women undergoing IVF or ICSI treatments (ii). Beyond physical outcomes, acupuncture also helps support emotional well-being, offering a calming influence during what can be a stressful journey. For individuals and couples, acupuncture can be a powerful ally in improving both emotional and treatment outcomes on the path to parenthood.

In addition to acupuncture, I work collaboratively with clients to support GP testing (where applicable) and I will review these with a fertility-focused perspective. My approach combines the insights of Western medicine with the benefits of Chinese medicine, creating a powerful synergy that supports both men and women throughout their conception journey.

After many years of wanting to have a child, I am the proud mother of two children. My journey was far from easy and I can whole-heartedly empathise with couples who are struggling to conceive. I am fortunate to be able to support you in your conception journey and feel honoured to have helped so many clients become parents.
