I will provide you with dedicated, personalised care and ensure you are supported emotionally and physcially throughout your journey.
Through personal experience in assisted reproduction and knowledge gained from supporting many women in their journeys, I am able to support your journey with compassion, professionalism and empathy. Drawing on education in clinical protocols, nutritional support and navigating the NHS or private care, are a small part of what I can offer you alongside a supportive, relaxing acupuncture session. I hope you leave your care with me with your ultimate goal, I also hope I can make the journey easier, and offer you a safe space to offload and know you are being heard.
I have supported 100s of women to achieve through their journey to conceive, through the principles of Chinese medicine. My approach involves taking a full case history of your health to ensure I have a clear picture of the potential imbalances that need addressing. If for example you have had very irregular periods for most of your menstruating years, we would first seek to regulate your cycle using the theory of Chinese medicine this may include strengthening your kidneys, which are known to hold your “life force” and to calm your mind and spirit, using points linked to the heart meridian, such approach may encourage the energy needed to promote a regular cycle from both a mental and physical perspective. This is a very simplified version of how acupuncture may support you. With a regulated cycle, identifying and targeting ovulation, with treatments around this time can make you feel calm, relaxed which enables your nervous system to be in a responsive manner ready for conception.
As outlined on my research section, substantiating the benefits of acupuncture for fertility remain fraught with concerns from advertising standards. I would recommend you contact me to discuss where you are on your journey, and the options that are open to you to be supported (and your partner if appropriate). If you would like to read a balanced response please find the BacC review of evidence here https://acupuncture.org.uk/fact-sheets/infertility-ivf/
I can provide a wealth of knowledge if you chose a package, integrating the scientifically evidence based world of Nutritional therapy with, what I feel is the art of acupuncture, in sensing what clients need. This is what makes acupuncture so unique as a therapy, and very difficult to test in a controlled manner! as of course, we are all unique, which requires personalised interventions.
